Another month, another TBR!
Last month, I actually managed to read all 3 books that I put on my TBR which was really cool! I am hoping to achieve the same thing this month!
Check out my Summer TBR below!
My “Summer TBR” books
I’ve put both Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and Unfiltered by Lily Collins on my official humongous over-ambitious Summer TBR list and since the temperatures are rising I am currently sweating my ass off as we speak and June is the first month of summer (at least that’s how I see it), I decided why not try and work on that huge Summer TBR!
I’ve added Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins because it’s been on my March TBR and I didn’t get around to it and I told myself I’d read it in May (which I didn’t do lol) so I thought C’MON IT CAN’T BE THAT HARD TO READ THIS!!! Let’s pray I’ll finally pull through 😛
A Classic A Month
You might not know this but I am trying and still failing to read at least one classic a month! So far it hasn’t been going well. Like last month, there are two books that I need to read for class in June but they’re both only around 100 pages long so this should be EASY PEASY LEMON SQUEEZY 😛
The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is part of the Sherlock Holmes books??? Series??? I don’t know??? :’) But yeah, I have to read that one and The Time Machine by H.G. Wells. Let’s hope that they will be interesting enough.
And that’s it! Wow, 5 books on my June TBR, that is going to be tough! My mood is probably going to change tomorrow and I won’t be reading ANY of these (except for my required reads) XD
Thank you for reading!
Have you read any of the books on my TBR? What did you think of them? Which books do you plan to read in June? Let’s chat in the comments!
I am currently visiting my family in Poland and I won’t be back until next week! This post is pre-scheduled so sorry if I don’t reply to any comments! I’m not ignoring you, I probably just don’t have any Wi-Fi! 😉
Fangirl! One of my favorite books that year… she’s someone I root for especially for a teen. Have fun!

I can’t wait to finally read that one! Thanks Dani 🙂

Once you read Fangirl you HAVE to add Carry On to your TBR, I absolutely adored it. Lily Collins is on my TBR too 🙂

I’ve recently bought Carry On and it looks so good, I can’t wait to read both! And I’ve started reading Lily Collins’ book and it’s soooo lovely! Hope you enjoy it! 🙂

Agh, I really have to read Fangirl and Anna and the French Kiss! I read a bit of Eleanor and Park when I was a young young child, and I’ve been wary of Rainbow’s books since then (because of the amount of cussing I read XD ). But that was when I was young and I hope that if/when I read her books now, I’ll enjoy them!

I read Eleanor & Park very recently and I liked it but I had issues with some parts! I really enjoyed Rainbow Rowell’s writing though so I’m excited to read Fangirl! I’ll keep you updated and let you know what I think XD Thanks May ❤

Have a great trip. And you’ll have to explain “fangirl” to me when you return. I keep seeing it and not sure exactly what it means! Too many ideas floating around in my head.

Thank you James! Hahaha, fangirl (or fanboy, whichever term you may want to use) is pretty much just gushing about things that you love? Whether it’s a book or a TV show, you basically just talk about it (A LOT) and share your feelings! Hope that helps XD

Ok. So I was on track. I thought maybe it was like some term for going psycho on something you love, like as a devious plot in a book! Thank you!!!

SHERLOCK! I love Doyle’s works! I also bascially want to read everything in your TBR for June haha!

Oh it’s good to hear that you love his works, I feel more motivated to read that book now 😛 Hahaha, we should buddy read some of these!

We should! I’ve never done that before to be frank.

Me neither XD we could buddy read one of these (or other books you might want to read) in July if you have the time! I think it could be so much fun! 🙂

Have fun in Poland! I have yet to read Fangirl even though it is one of the many books in my TBR list. I don’t know why but classics put me to sleep. I tried so many times to pick up a classic but in the end, it always fail. So, good luck on that!

Thank you Joanne! I pretty much feel the same way about classics but there are some out there which I definitely want to read in my life! I don’t want to read more than necessary though 😛 thanks!

Np! Definitely agree with you on that. 😂 What are some of the classics that you are planning to read?

I want to read all of Jane Austen’s books (I’ve already read 2 and a half lol), To Kill A Mockingbird, The Great Gatsby, Jane Eyre anddd The Kite Runner. And Life of Pi! I think those are the ones I’m prioritising! 😇

I read To Kill a Mockingbird before. It was a book for my literature class. Ahem, let’s just say I found it boring even though messages behind the story is very meaningful and impactful.

Hahaha! That’s understandable! I tend to hate every book I read for class 😂 I’ve heard that it’s a very powerful story so I’m hoping I will like it!

😂 Yep, it is a very powerful and meaningful story. I used to love reading books for classes when I was young. I used to re-read Peter Pan, Wizard of Oz and Alice in wonderland countless times. I guess sometimes it is about the type of books they ask us to read. If my school were to ever ask me to read Caraval for class, I think I would just marathon the book in just one day and keep raising my hand to answer questions in class. 😂😂

Ahhh, it’s so cool that you got to read those for school! My books were never that cool 😂 AND SAME! If they ever asked me to read a popular YA book I’d be like YES PLEASE GIMMEEEE XD

Yeah! I bet the both of us would love that class so much that we hope that class never ends. XD

Hahaha YES I can totally see that happening 😂 if there was a class where we could talk about books, I’d never leave!

I read Anna and the French Kiss last year and really loved it! It’s auch a cute fun book! Perfect for summer tbh! I’m currently reading this savage song by Victoria Schwab and it’s really good so far. The sequel is coming out soon so I plan on reading that too to avoid spoilers haha. I also want to read simon vs cause I really loved the upside of unrequited and fell in love with Becky’s writing 🙂

Yay now I can’t wait to read it! Ohhh, I’ve heard so much about VE Schwab’s books and The Savage Song as well! I really need to read her books soon! And OMG same! I love Becky Albertalli as a person but I haven’t read any of her books! I think she’s the queen of YA contemporaries though because they’re so diverse and awesome! I hope to read Simon Vs this summer as well!

Sorry for the late answer. Just finished reading TSS a few days ago and it’s really good! I can’t wait for this next book. I love how easy it is to read Becky’s books bc they’re so lighthearted and fun.

Well that’s good to hear! I definitely need to buy TSS then (even if I don’t know what it’s about hahaha). Oh yes, I’ve started Simon Vs and it’s so fun to read!

Ah yay I can’t wait to read them now! Ohhh, I have friends in New Zealand and I always think it’s so weird how the seasons are different! But then again, it’s the other side of the world so it’s totally understandable XD

I’m not really a fan of Fangirl though I managed to finish it. It was boring for me. The only thing I liked is that Cath is SO relatable. But I hope you’ll enjoy it. 😊 And I also hope you’ll enjoy all of them.

I loved Fangirl and hated Anna and the French Kiss 😂😂 Everyone loves that book so much and I had heard so much about Stephanie Perkins’ books being amazing that I gave in and bought the three of them. I really hope you like it though hahaha I seem to be in the minority as regards that book 😂

Hahaha wow that sucks! I always tend to buy and entire series as well and I hate myself when I happen to dislike the first book 😂😂 but thank you, I can’t wait to read it and see if I’ll like it!
