Versatile Blogger Award – 7 Facts about me

DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO COME UP WITH 7 FACTS ABOUT YOURSELF??????????? V E R Y HARD, LET ME TELL YOU!

But I managed – woohoo – applause for Jackie!

I was nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award by the lovely Des over at Des’ Random Thoughts! Definitely head over there and check out which awesome facts about herself she has shared with us! She definitely did better than me XD And don’t forget to click that follow button!

The Rules:

1.) Display the award on your blog.

2.) Thank the blogger that nominated you and provide a link to their blog.

3.) Share 7 facts about yourself.

4.) Nominate 10 bloggers for the award and provide links to their blog.

7 Facts About Me:

  1. My name is Jackie.
    • LMAO NO I’M JUST KIDDING. Real fact: I’m half-German and half-Polish! My parents are both from Poland but they moved to Germany in the 90’s (I believe?). I was born in Germany but I can speak Polish as well! We go to Poland every year because half of my family (including my grandparents) live over there! The other half came to Germany as well and most of them live very close to me so I see them often which is nice!
  2.  I taught myself how to read before I even went to kindergarden! I had this little “laptop” for children and spent hours with it – I taught myself the alphabet and basic words and I even ended up learning maths! I could read, write and calculate in kindergarden! That is also the reason why I skipped first grade. I’m not trying to brag but yeah… I was just that good 😉 *puts on sunglasses*

  1. That being said, I graduated (high???) school and done my ‘Abitur’ at 17 years old! Abitur is basically A levels in Britain or whatever diploma you get when you finish grammar school/(academic) high school or WHATEVER YOU CALL THE SCHOOL YOU GO TO AFTER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN AMERICA AND BRITAIN (I am #confusion forever) but yeah, I was one of the youngest to graduate!
  2. I have never read or seen Pride and Prejudice.

  1. I used to work at a hospital for a year as part of a voluntary program thingy and I LOVED IT SO MUCH! For some time I even thought I’d become a nurse (I pretty much did nurse-work when I was working there anyway) but then I decided to go to university.
  2. I am in love with Harry Styles and I would quite literally die for him. Paying 4 bucks for a Starbucks drink? Hell no. But buying a $500 VIP package that doesn’t even include a M&G? SURE THING! (Yes, I’m that far up his ass) (And no, I am not actually buying that VIP package) (BUT I WOULD IF IT INCLUDED MEETING HIM)
  3. I am hoping to learn Norwegian next semester! I tried to learn it a few years ago but forgot all about it. Thanks to Skam my love for the language is back and my uni offers a language course so fingers crossed that I’ll manage to get accepted for it!

That’s about it for the facts!

Now, onto the tagging (because I want everyone to struggle coming up with facts about themselves as well muahahahaha XD) (Just kidding) (Not really)

cheers (10)

I tag…

Julianna @ Blots of Ink and Words / Emmie @ Tea With Mermaids / Kelly @ Kelly’s Rambles / Hilary @ Songs Wrote My Story / Ashley @ The Infinite Library / Meg @ Thoughts from a Ravenclaw

Thank you for reading!

  1. OKAY HERE HOW MANY LANGUAGES DO YOU SPEAK??? You know Polish, German, English… you’re already TRILINGUAL and you want to be quadrilingal??? (Dude that’s not even a word. XD) Also I’m pretty sure I wasn’t the only person to read “But I managed” as “But I mangoed”. That would be silly of me.

WOWOWOW Jackie you’re smart!!! XD I learned to read at age four, I think. But I didn’t skip a grade (although I think it was an option for me 😛 ). And OMG THAT OBAMA GIF. ❤ ❤ I love you Obama. Come back to meeeeeeee.

I READ LIKE A KIDDIE VERSION OF P&P SO IT DOESN'T REALLY COUNT.

And also, you're name is Jackie??? Omg??? How did I not know this before???

    1. I feel like it’s so normal to speak all these languages? Or is it just me? XD I also know French and Spanish because I learned those in school! *ok Jackie stop bragging*

Yeeaaaaahhh….. I think EVERYONE read that as mangoed….. ha.. haha…. :’D (maybe not)

Hahaha thanks, I don’t really feel smart XD Not anymore 😀 To me, Obama is still the president. I don’t acknowledge the ‘other one’ *shudders*

YES MY NAME IS JACKIE! It’s such a surprise right???? 😛

      1. WHAT THE HECK. YOU’RE AT FIVE LANGUAGES NOW. HOW. I mean right now I’m learning French in school, and I’m Thai but can understand it and speak only a little bit of it. And then English. XD

BUT YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY SMART. And dude I don’t even call him “president”. He’s just… existing. *shudders with you*

HOW COULD YOU HAVE HIDDEN THIS ENORMOUS FACT FROM US FOR SO LONG???

      2. Hahahaha XD Ooh French, the language of love 😂❤️ I didn’t know you were Thai, that’s really cool! And I totally feel you! I can understand every word in Polish but I used to be so bad at speaking it!

Ohhhh yes… I just can’t deal with all that orange.

I WASN’T READY AT THE TIME BUT I’M GLAD I COULD TELL YOU GUYS NOW. MAKES ME FEEL A LOT BETTER THAT EVERYONE KNOWS MY NAME 😂😂

      3. My parents are Thai but I’m pretty much American. XD WELL NOW YOU’RE GOOD AT SPEAKING POLISH HUH.

WE SUPPORT YOU, JACKIE. I’M GLAD YOU’RE NOT NAMELESS ANYMORE. (Also I’m debating going by my real name??? WHAT DO YOU THINK.)

      4. Ohhh that’s interesting! I remember that I had to do a presentation on Thailand once and we even made Thai food to bring to class! It was some sort of cake but it was really yummy 😂

Your real name? Do you mean mayonnaise?????? XD (but yes you should go for it if you want!)

      5. Hahahaha XD do your parents cook Thai food often? Because my mum very rarely cooks Polish food so it’s always very special when we have it and I savour every last bite 😂😂

Ugh changing your blog name sucks and it confuses people and it’s just overall stressful so I’d say don’t use your real name for now? I know you’ve been talking about self-hosting so maybe if you ever plan to do that you could have a whole new blog name and you real name and everything then! 🤗

  2. Omigosh, Jackie, that was a fantastic post. I was dying with what you were saying about Harry Styles and about how hard it is to write 7 facts about yourself. IT IS RIDICULOUS. WHY IS IT SO HARD???? I have also never saw/read P & P…but I did see P & P with Zombies, so I mean, does that count? Wonderful job for having a struggle with it! It was sooooooo much fun! ❤

    1. Hahaha thanks Mandy XD I KNOW RIGHT! I tried to make a list of fun facts about myself but I failed completely and it took me like 3 hours to come up with things! 😛 I think that counts! I mean, it’s similar right? It just has zombies? Which is kinda cool? XD Thaaaank you ❤

  8. Thanks for the tag!! 😀

You’re totally not missing anything by not reading Pride and Prejudice. I read it twice – one because I wanted to and once for school – and watched the movie, and I feel like I could have used those hours for better things.
