SOOOOO my dear friends, let’s get into my favourite hate to love ships!

PS. these are (kind of) ranked from “least” favourite (out of the 5) to FAVOURITE

PPS. there will be loads of screaming, crying and fangirling

PPPS. I bet y’all can already guess what my #1 is lol

5. Arianna and Cvareh from The Alchemists of Loom (Loom Saga #1)

This was a recent read of mine but I absolutey fell in love with the story, the world and the CHARACTERS! Arianna is this snarky, sassy and badass criminal who HATES dragons and Cvareh is a dragon lol (he has a human body and he can talk but he has some magic abilities that only dragons have in this story if that makes sense??) so this is obviously a great set-up already.

So, they’re basically on a mission and they begrudgingly go on a journey together AND THEIR CONVERSATIONS ARE SO GOOD. They’re so sarcastic and ridiculously funny and I love how annoyed they get with each other! Technically, they’re not in love yet but they kissed (once, in a VERY dramatic moment *internal screaming*) and they definitely care for each other by the end of the book!

I AM ALSO READING THE SECOND BOOK IN THE SERIES RIGHT NOW AND OH MY GOD IT GETS EVEN BETTER I AM ABOUT HALFWAY THROUGH AND IM LITERALLY YELLING AT THIS BOOK.

This series is so underrated and I think you should DEFINITELY pick it up!

4. Damon and Elena from The Vampire Diaries

I have been rooting for Elena and Damon to get together since the first season — probably since one of the very first episodes! I always tend to love the “bad” morally grey character more than the typical goody two shoes AKA STEFAN and Damon is just brilliant!

I’ve been watching The Vampire Diaries since it first aired in 2009 and it will always be my #1 favourite show because I’ve literally grown up with it! (I know it can be super weird and cringy at times but for me it’s all nostalgic feels XD) And I will be Team Delena FOREVER AND EVER even though the show is over now *sobs*

3. June and Day from the Legend trilogy

MY SWEET PRECIOUS CHILDREN ❤ Gosh, I love them SO FREAKIN’ MUCH! I read the Legend series a few years ago BUT I REMEMBER CRYING LOADS AND THERE BEING SO MUCH ANGST AND FEELS AND I WANT TO CRY JUST THINKING ABOUT THE LAST BOOK IN THE SERIES.

Basically, June works for the government of their country (I forgot the name lol) and after her brother has been killed recently she wants to find the murderer. Day is the most wanted criminal of said ‘i-don’t-remember-its-name’ country and he’s the main suspect in the murder case that involves June’s brother.

SOOOO JUNE STARTS WORKING UNDERCOVER IN THE SLUMS AND SHE FINDS DAY AND SHE WANTS TO TRAP HIM SO HE CAN BE PUNISHED AND TOGETHER THEY LIVE ON THE STREETS AND THEY GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER AND IT’S JUST SO DAMN GOOD OH MY GOD PLEASE READ THIS SERIES IT WILL DESTROY YOU

2. Feyre and Rhysand from the A Court of Thorns and Roses series

CAN WE PLEASE TALK ABOUT THIS GORGEOUS FANART BECAUSE I LITERALLY WANT TO DIE IT’S SO BEAUTIFUL CREDIT TO CHARLIE BOWATER ❤

Well… WELL, WELL, WELL. FEYRE AND RHYS. THEY’VE SNATCHED THE SECOND SPOT FROM UNDER JUNE AND DAY’S FEET LOL.

But honestly, the two of them are so freaking GOOD together! AND THEY DESERVE THE #2 SPOT. GOSH, I love them soooOOOoOoOoOOO much. They actually TALK when they have problems or things need to be resolved, they support and respect each other AND THEY TRULY LOVE EACH OTHER SO FREAKING MUCH LIKE OH MY GOD I CAN’T DEAL WITH THIS. I WANT TO CRY JUST THINKING ABOUT THESE BOOKS LIKE THE AMARANTHA SCENE AND THE ENTIRE SECOND BOOK AND THE LAST FOURTH OF THE THIRD BOOK I MEAN…

THEY WOULD LITERALLY DIE FOR EACH OTHER I CAN’T *tears up*

I don’t think I really need to explain anything else because literally everyone has read this series soooooo YES. FEYSAND. MY PARENTS. LOVE THEM WITH ALL MY HEART.

1. WARNER AND JULIETTE FROM SHATTER ME aka my babies

OKAY, HANDS UP… WHO GUESSED THAT THESE TWO WOULD BE MY #1??? HUH???

Yeah, that wasn’t hard LOL.

IF YOU KNOW ME AT ALL, YOU’LL KNOW THAT THE SHATTER ME SERIES IS MY L I F E AND WARNER AND JULIETTE ARE MY CHILDREN AND I COULD NEVER LOVE ANY OTHER COUPLE AS MUCH AS I LOVE THEM THEY’RE MY #1 FOREVER.

I can’t believe Tahereh Mafi, also known as the literal QUEEN OF YA, has created these iconic characters! And she literally invented the girl-falls-in-love-with-first-boy-who-shows-her-kindness-aka-insta-love-but-said-boy-turns-out-to-be-a-possessive-aggressive-drama-queen-and-douche-so-she-dumps-him-and-turns-into-a-kickass-independent-woman-AND-THEN-SHE-GETS-WITH-THE-GUY-WHO-IS-DEPICTED-AS-THE-BAD-GUY-BUT-HE’S-AN-ACTUAL-PUPPY-AND-HE-RESPECTS-HER-AND-LOVES-HER-AND-TREATS-HER-RIGHT-and-they-live-happily-ever-after trope. (did that make any sense??? :’) lmao) (also did i just spoil the entire series??? I APOLOGIZE BUT I SAID THERE’D BE SPOILERS!!!!!!)

This was a wild ride from start to finish but hoo boy you should have heard some of the strangled noises coming out of my mouth while reading this on the metro because Feyre and Rhysand are the Actual Dream Team™ and whenever I think about them I get e m o t i o n a l so this was a treat, you’re the best, thanks 5ever for the validation of the flagship in my armada of book ships

I can relate 100000000% :’) Feysand are one of the greatest power-couples of all time like PEOPLE… DON’T EVEN TRY TO ARGUE WITH ME 😛 I’ve read this series for the first time very recently but I already feel like rereading because I need to experience all the Feysand feels again!

      1. My guy, I’ve read ACOWAR twice since it was released, and let me tell you the tears still flow like a river the second time around. If anything, rereading the whole series made me love Rhysand even more, because his FIRST WORDS TO HER IN ACOTAR ARE “THERE YOU ARE. I’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU.” AND I’M JUST AN EMOTIONAL WRECK ABOUT IT BECAUSE HE HAS BEEN LOOKING AND SHE PAINTED STARS BC OF HIM AND /AUGH/

        It’s so fantastic and each reread just makes it better. I could read about my High Lord and High Lady forever.

      2. OMGNFJDJDJDJDJD I KNOW RIGHT. When I first read the series, I already knew that Feyre and Rhys were gonna end up together so when he first appeared I PRETTY MUCH FELL IN LOVE WITH HIM ALREADY.

        One of my friends has reread ACOMAF 4 times this year and I’m like shocked because how do you do that??? But at the same time I can totally relate 😂😂😂

      3. Oh my god, one time I reread ACOMAF 3 times in ONE MONTH. I reread the book in early October while my best friend was reading it for the first time, but I felt like I read it too fast, so I listened to the audiobook version. 13 hours of pure, unaltered bliss, by the way. But THEN I was like, “This was too much. My soul is thrumming in the aftershocks of such perfection.” So I read the eBook version to cope, LOL. Those were the best 3 weeks of 2016. My total now is 5 reads, including this most recent reread of the whole series to prepare for ACOWAR. Can you tell it’s one of my favorite books ever?! 😂

      4. OMGGG IN ONE MONTH???? That’s actually so relatable lol. Did you listen to the one on audible? I listened to a snippet and I wasn’t sure if I’d like it! I’d love to try it though!!

      5. I KNOW RIGHT?!? It was insane but magical. You’d think it would get boring and repetitive, but it felt different with each format. I definitely read the print book way too fast, and I was forced to slow down and not rush through it with the audio. Doing that helped me pay more attention when going through the eBook version, and I was able to highlight what stood out to me on my Kindle to help me finally write a review. I still think my review of that book is one of the best things I’ve ever written, and that experience is why.

        I did listen to the Audible version also, Jen Ikeda is an amazing narrator. I was hooked right away. If you haven’t used Audible yet, I highly suggest getting that book with your 1st free credit when you sign up for a 30-day trial. So, so worth it! ❤️

  11. Love this list! Hate to love is one of my favorite romance tropes. I totally agree with you on Warner and Julliette, Feyre and Rhysand, Damon and Elena, Ariana and Cvareh. My list is pretty long but my favorites are Daemon and Kat from Lux series, Damon and Elena from VD, Rose and Dimitri from Vampire Academy, Lilac and Tarver from These Broken Stars, Aria and Perry from Under the never sky, Shazi and Khalid from The wrath and the dawn, Mariko and Okami from Flame In the Mist.

  13. OH MY GOD. Love to hate might be my favorite trope to ever exist, to be honest!

    Out of the five ships on your list I love THREE (two I haven’t read about so I can’t really judge them) and I think Delena might be number one out of the three! I’ve been aboard that ship for so many years now and I’ve loved them for so long that there isn’t anything that could ever take their spot for me! Even though Ian got THIS CLOSE to make me hate the character of Damon enough to not love my ship anymore once he started being an asshole towards Nina and their relationship and stuff. He was also the reason I stopped watching TVD somewhere midway through season 6. I was sick and tired of seeing his face.

    Is Hunter Parrish the fancast for Warner? Because I can get SO on board that character then! I saw him Quantico (like, in multiple episode) and I am IN LOVE with the guy. And those GIFs you chose! I am on the floor. THE FLOOR. This man. And I don’t even usually find blonde men attractive???

      Ahhhh I’m so happy to see another Delena lover! I’ve been very good at differentiating Ian as a person and Damon as a character so the series was enjoyable for me until the end! But I hate Ian’s GUTS for so many reasons (some of which you have already mentioned) and I can’t stand to see his face now either XD I am hoping that one day I’ll still be able to rewatch TVD though without wanting to barf whenever he appears 😂

      I’ve only very recently jumped on the Hunter Parrish as Warner train because I couldn’t really see it before but I think people have been talking about it for quite a while! And now I’m totally on board 😍

      I’ve been meaning to watch Quantico but what I’ve been doing is watch every clip that Hunter Parrish is in 😂😂 AND YESSS I TOTALLY AGREE. HE IS SO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL, I’M IN AWE.

      1. Both my sisters are currently watching Vampire Diaries and since they are still watching episodes I’ve seen before Ian starting acting like an asshole I can watch them no problem. But I don’t think I’ll ever watch the episodes I missed because I just get so angry with him. I did watch the series finale though so in my head I’m done with the show.

        You should watch Quantico though! Especially season 1! I really enjoyed that one, season 2 was a bit of a meh season – apart from the Clay and Shelby scenes! Those two totally got to me and spoke to my shipper heart!

      2. Oh that’s good then! I’m curious to see if it’ll be the same for me! And ahhhhh the series finale 😭😭😭 it was so good but so sad but so perfect at the same time??? I felt like it really brought me closure and it was the right way to end it!

        I definitely liked what I’ve seen of Quantico’s second season (mainly because of Clay hahaha) but the first season looks fantastic! I can’t wait to see it! Do you know if it’s on Netflix?

  14. I was like “HMM WARNETTE” and I was right. XD But AGH JUNE AND DAAAAAAAY!!! I didn’t cry for the last book but I was SO close. Just thinking about it makes me sad. 😥 And dude that Feysand fanart is SO GOOD it makes me want to read it. I mean, I’m 90% sure the characters will reel me in (the plot doesn’t look that intriguing — I already forgot it oops). And AGH THEY DIDN’T HAVE SHATTER ME IN MY LIBRARY SO NOW I’M LIKE DYING OVER HERE BUT I’LL TELL YOU WHEN I READ IT!!! Nina and Matthias from SIX OF CROWS *GLARES* is a favorite hate-to-love ship of mine AGH THEY’RE SO SHIPPABLE. *sobs* What???       Me too! You know that I cry at pretty much everything and I was SOBBING SO MUCH while reading Champion 😭 AND YES PLEASE PLEASE READ ACOTAR it’s all about the characters!!! The plot is good sometimes but the second and third book are so lengthy for no reason because literally nothing happens plot-wise 😜

      The day you read Shatter Me will be the day I hear angels singing 😂

      And I know that someone dies in SOC but I always mix up the names WHICH IS CONVENIENT BECAUSE I’LL STILL BE SURPRISED 😉 and I haven’t read Percy Jackson but I’ve seen the first movie!!! If that counts XD and I’m so excited to start Cinder on Saturday AHHHHHHH

I love when Cva takes her by surprise agreeing with her or rather not disagreeing, lol. I only read the first Shatter Me… it makes me want to read the rest hearing you fangirl!!       Yeesssss I totally agree! That is one of my favourite things about the books! I’ve just finished the second Loom book and it was so fantastic as well! I really loved to see Ari and Cvareh’s friend/relationship evolve!
