Fierce Fangirl Friday // SONGS I’ve been loving recently!!!

Welcome back to another Fierce Fangirl Friday!

Since my last Fierce Fangirl Friday post got quite long, I decided to split it into two parts and divide it into ALBUMS and SONGS I’ve been loving recently!

This week’s post will be all about songs I’ve been loving recently so get ready to discover some new (and some old) music to listen to!!!

UPDATE: I wrote this post at the end of June and while these songs are still AWESOME, I’ve been listening to some new songs as well!

Wild Thoughts by DJ Khaled ft. Rihanna, Bryson Tiller

If you haven’t heard of this song before YOU MUST HAVE BEEN LIVING UNDER A ROCK BECAUSE ALL OF TWITTER WAS FREAKING OUT ABOUT IT WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT ALONG WITH THE MUSIC VIDEO.

Rihanna is just a queen and she makes every song A BOP. Go watch that video and tell me her moves aren’t smooth as hell like SHE IS AN ACTUAL QUEEN. I’m obsessed with her (and this song, of course).

THIS FLOWS SO NICELY AND IT’S SO GROOVY I CAN’T. I ALREADY KNOW THAT THIS WILL BE MY SUMMER SONG OF 2017 LIKE YAAAAASSSSSSS.

FAVOURITE LINE: “Another one / We The Best music / DJ Khaled”

IM KIDDING (kind of) THIS SONG IS VERY NAUGHTY AND I DON’T WANT TO SHARE THOSE LYRICS 😛

Be Alright by Ariana Grande

After seeing her perform it at the One Love Manchester benefit concert I have fallen back in love with this song! It has always been one of my favourites of her new album but I loved the way the band played it at the beginning of the show! Check out the video from the benefit concert here!

Be Alright is such a feel good song and it’s always so much fun to listen to it! And I actually feel like everything is gonna BE ALRIGHT (HA see what I did there).

FAVOURITE LINE: “But the high times are golden / Cause they all lead to better days / We’re gonna be alright”

Bad Liar by Selena Gomez

When I first heard this song, I really didn’t like it all that much. I LOVE Selena Gomez and I’ve been a fan of her for soooooo long but Bad Liar didn’t really sweep me off my feet!

AFTER THE MUSIC VIDEO WAS RELEASED THOUGH… WOW.

She doesn’t even SAY anything in that video but her acting is so freaking good (WHY ISN’T SHE MAKING MORE MOVIES PLSSSS SELENA). I love that she plays all the characters in the video and the way she dances during the last chorus is so cute!

FAVOURITE LINE: “Paint my kiss across your chest / Be the art, I’ll be the brush”

Unforgettable by French Montana ft. Swae Lee

Similarly to Bad Liar, I wasn’t a fan of this song when I first heard it. And the radio played it ALL THE TIME and I was like NOOOO SHUT UP I DON’T LIKE THIS SONG.

And now… I love it. My sister has been listening to it for DAYS and I started to love the beat and the VIIIBESSSSS. XD

KINDA NAUGHTY LYRICS AGAIN SO I’M NOT SHARING 😛

Little Of Your Love by HAIM

I remember when HAIM released their first single, everybody was obsessed with them! They were Taylor Swift’s best friends and one of the most popular newcomers and I was just like……. okay??? I don’t even remember what their old songs are called but I know that I hated all of them XD

They came out with a couple of new songs recently (I am writing this post in the past and I think they should have an ALBUM out by now XD) and while I don’t really like the first single (whatever it is called), I am LOVING Little Of Your Love! It’s such a cute and fun song to listen to and it’s another great summer song!

FAVOURITE LINE: “Don’t it feel like that night was from a dream / I’ve never felt nothing like that / Looking at you, looking right back”

All I Think About Is You by Ansel Elgort

I used to be sooooo obsessed with Ansel Elgort when I found out he was playing Augustus in TFIOS! But after the movie came out my love for him kind of died down…

UNTIL THE BEGINNING OF THIS YEAR WHEN HE CAME OUT WITH NEW MUSIC. His song Thief is so freaking cool and I listened to it on repeat when it was first released!

AND HAVE YOU SEEN HIS PERFORMANCE ON JAMES CORDEN’S LATE LATE SHOW??? AYEEEE THAT BOY CAN SING. Check it out here and go to 7:40. I’m also super excited to see Baby Driver because the trailer looks fantastic and Lily James (my sweet Cinderella <3) is in it!

FAVOURITE LINE: “Once I was with you / No money, no issue / We laughed even when we were down”

2U by David Guetta ft. Justin Bieber

I’m not the biggest Justin Bieber fan anymore (I used to be OBSESSED and then I hated him and now I can kind of maybe tolerate him) but he makes good music, I have to admit that!!!!!

I never expected to like 2U because I’m not really into the whole EDM type of music but this one is pretty good!

FAVOURITE LINE:“When it comes to you / There’s no crime, let’s take both of our souls and intertwine”

ANOTHER SUPER LONG POST ABOUT MUSIC I’M SO SORRY. I JUST GET REALLY PASSIONATE ABOUT MUSIC BECAUSE IT’S MY LIFE (hA i’m only half joking. it really is my life) BUT I HOPE YOU ENJOYED!
